Ingredients
Parboiled Rice - 3 cups
Urad Dhal - 1 cup
Black Pepper - 1/2 tsp
Jeeragam - 1/2 tsp
Ghee - 2 tsp
Curry Leaves one spring
METHOD
Soak the rice and dhal in water for at least 8 hours. Then wash well and grind them together into a slightly coarse paste
. Mix the salt keep in a warm place for 10 - 12 hours. After the batter has fermented, add the coarsely powdered pepper and
cumin seeds, curry leaves,ghee and mix well. Make it in the consistency of Idli batter. Steam this in greased idli pans for
10 - 15 minutes (or until a spoon or tooth-pick inserted, comes out clean).
